That's not something I'm going to forgive and forget. That's where it all started, an illegal fight in the desert, too much to drink, and then my father's idea of consequences.I got myself in trouble. That was me, but my father pulled strings to make it so much worse. I wound up with community service, working under the direction of a certain bad boy fighter, who just so happens to have a heart of gold. Who knew? I was supposed to learn a lesson, and I probably did, but I also fell hopelessly stupid in love.Jokes on you, dad! There's just one problem. There's no way in h*ll my father will let me have the last laugh, or let his daughter love a man from the wrong side of the tracks. Scrap and Tess are the class-divided Romeo and Juliet. There is a lit to recommend here- the pacing is mellow (until the end), and we get to know the two characters without exorbitant drama furthering the plot. My in-laws are from this part of CA, and a lot of the book reminded me of them. Tess does the rich priss almost too well- but Scrap wears her down. One thing that would have helped, is a better sense of what ages, people were. Her missing mother was fantastically done, but dad was a flop at the end. A real hurry-up, wrap up. Scrap seems like a decent guy, trying to make it. You root for him even when Tess is a pill. The coincidences were a bit too coincidental, especially in the denoument. There were two typos that I noticed...amazing for a self-edited book. I look forward to more from this author.

I received this book free as an Exclusive ARC for my honest review.Tess aka Princess is a rich girl from a privileged family, Scrap Tanner is from the wrong side of town, an illegal fighter and covered in tattoos. Tess drives her friend Jasmine out to the desert to watch her boyfriend Ben in a fight. Scrap saves Tess from rape, and on the way home is pulled over and done for DUI. Her father won’t save her, so she has to do community service. She arrives at the J.B. Hislop Centre for Nurturing Transitions for her community service and one of the workers is Scrap. Scrap is put in charge of Tess and Tess ends up seeing Scrap as a different person to what she assumed him to be. Can 2 people from different worlds have a HEA?

I received an exclusive copy in exchange for an honest review. This is my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Scrap is a young man with his priorities straight. Tess is a young rich girl, unsure of herself. I loved how she changed and evolved in the story. Well written plot with wonderful characters.

I received a ARC for an honest review.I thought this was an ok book. I finished it at least. I thought it was a little more on the young adult side. I felt like the ending was a little rushed and felt like maybe there is suppose to be more. The authors writing was good and but I just couldn't wait to finish.
