This could have been an OK read, but the ending was so abrupt that I'm still wondering whether the publisher lost the last pages in the editing room. This very short story probably works better for those readers who have read Blackmailed, but I didn't and couldn't find myself caring much for the characters.

This was a sweet (tame) little romance. While both blind and deaf, though he has recently gone through surgery to improve his hearing, Scott is all man when it comes to loving and protecting the woman of his dreams. While he is definitely handicapped, it's done in such a nonchalant and humorous way that like many of the characters in this story you almost forget about his limitations and find yourself concentrating instead on his rock hard abs. :) Fun fact: Tyler, Brianna, and Cole (who barely makes an appearance) have two daughters who help save the day!

This would have been 4 stars except the last chapter seemed to be missing from my Kindle version. A very quick, cute, fun read otherwise. I think this had been part of an anthology previously because it is a short story. Standard Annmarie McKenna fare, entertaining, not heavy on believability but making up for that in its emphasis on sex scenes. It is much more grounded in reality than Blackmailed, which has many of the same characters now ten years later. Really, if Look What Santa Brought hadn't ended so abruptly with barely a resolution and no peek into the happy ever after(like a wonderful Christmas morning together), I'd have no complaints.

The events in this book are taking place about 10 years after the first "Blackmailed". Bri, Tyler and Cole are happily married and they have two children, Lily and Chloe. The story focuses this time on Scott, Bri's blind and half deaf little brother. Scott is in love with Tara who just broken up with her psycho boyfriend, Eric.Scott and Tara's story is short and sweet and it is taking place during Christmas time.

This book was not at all what I expected. I was looking forward to a cute (occasionally rated R) Christmas romance, but what I got was a crude story that just so happened to take place at Christmastime. I was immediately turned off by the constant and mostly totally unnecessary use of bad language. The reader easily comes to understand that Tara and Scott are attracted to each other, but that was all. As characters, they were underdeveloped and uninteresting, and we never got to know either of them, or any of the secondary characters for that matter, at all. Tara and Scott's relationship was even more poorly developed than the characters themselves (which really didn't seem possible). Tara made Scott hard. Scott made Tara wet. I feel icky writing that. The end. It seemed entirely based on lust and physical attraction, but since Scott was blind, this really didn't jive for me. Especially since he didn't even "see" her (with his hands) until about midway through the book. After that, Scott would do things that seemed totally unnatural for a blind man. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure blind people don't roll their eyes. There was also regularly background information that was quickly thrown in then never spoken of again. It was confusing and annoying. There was a whole story behind Scott and Brianna's mother that I wanted to know more about, but we only got a brief glimpse of it, never actually coming to understand what the author was talking about. Two children showed up out of nowhere. Who were they? The best thing I can say about this book is that it was short and quickly over. It was also free on my kindle. So I thank the author and give her two stars just for that. Now I'm feeling like maybe I was too harsh.

What a bummer! I love less than perfect heroes and Scott hit all my buttons the right way. Too bad he was wasted in this bleh short story with this 'heroine'. This story picks up some ten years after McKenna's Blackmailed and unfortunately I don't think even if you loved this hero in that book, you will get any satisfaction from reading his story. The main problem being here is 'anthologyitis' - a story that is just too short in terms of word count to fit the plot. Having said that, this story should have been better edited as well. There are several sections that could have been cut in order to focus on the relationship between the heroine and hero especially since it's so short. But the length is really the deal breaker here because there is just not enough time to care about the heroine, worry about her plight, be creeped out by the 'villain', and get turned on by the smut. I'm not even going to mention the abrupt and totally unsatisfying end.Should you bother reading it? No. But if Ms. McKenna recycled this hero for a longer, better executed story, I would sure give it go because he really has a lot of potential for being an amazing hero.

❤❤❤♡♡It's a pity, this book had the potential to be really good. When I first heard there'd be a sequel to "Blackmailed", I was thrilled because I loved Scott's character. But the author didn't do him justice here. First, the story wasn't adapted to the length of the book. I mean that the author tried to write an elaborate plot in a short novel and she couldn't make it work. It didn't give time for the characters to develop and allow the reader to become attached to them. In fact, if I hadn't read the first book in the series, I'd probably be harsher than I am right now.Second, the end of the book is certainly the worst ending I've ever read in my life (and that's saying a lot since I read a lot). On the plus side, I have to say that I was happy to read about Tyler again. It's funny how Cole is physically absent from this book (except for a few mentions), whereas he was omnipresent in the first one. It's like the author recognized (too late) the potential of Tyler's character.

Look What Santa Brought is the story of Scott and Tara and how they finally get the chance to express their feelings for each other whilst dealing with Eric, Tara’s ex boyfriend who refuses to accept that their relationship is over. This had a lot of promise but did not quite deliver. The story in places felt rushed and therefore did not really flow. There was a lot of build up between Scott and Tara but when it came to them finally coming together it didn’t feel as hotly passionate as other short stories out there. I don’t believe you need to have read Blackmailed before reading this story, as I didn’t feel I was missing anything that happened previously as there were some references made to the past. This is a very quick Christmas read and if you don’t expect too much from the story you won’t be disappointed.

What I Loved: Scott was such a delicious guy to read! He was just the right amount of alpha vs vulnerable. He was also YUMMY! The fact that he was blind kind of made him that much more lovable. Tara and Scott had a great chemistry that was fun to read.Complaint: The ending was way to abrupt! It felt like a whole chapter was left out of the bookWhat makes this good Holiday read: If you are looking for a short but naughty holiday read this may work for you. It was about getting out of a bad situation into a good situation. Just keep in mind the rather abrupt ending.

One star is do not like so I could not give it a one star. But I am not sure that it is really a 2 star book because it has a lot of problems. First its very short. Second there is no conclusion just a stop. Third with the potential of the characters there is just no follow through. I was just disappointed.

My only complaint about this story, is that it was far too short. Just as the story seemed to really be getting under way, it was over. Which is a shame, because I loved Scott & Tara and would have loved to have seen their story be told as a full blown novel.Having said that, the story was still very sweet, with just the right amount of heat thrown in for good measure.

I was so excited to read about Scottie's story but this was just beyond stupid. It was way tooooo short to even make it worth it. She could have made this into an actual book and done so much with him as a character I think. Disappointed.

Meh. I recently reread the first of these two books and enjoyed it, even though it was TOTALLY over the top. LOL But this one was kinda meh. The story was weak, and as I know people who are blind, and I know what goes into training and using a guide dog, I found all of that to be ridiculous.

Damsel in distress with stalker ex-boyfriend hooks up with blind friend over Christmas holidays. This could have been much more than it actually was. At least the seeing eye dog, Kissy Face, was a redeeming quality.

Right. I remember reading this book and going, huh. Then I promptly forgot about it. Sorry Ms. McKenna! It just didn't stick in my mind. I had to look up my notes to remember what I felt about this book. This was a decent contemporary smexy romance - just a bit forgettable.

This is the story of Scott. He is blind so that adds a different twist to the story. He has been loving his sister's best friend Tara from afar for a long time. When she finally breaks up with her boyfriend, Scott feels this is his chance to step up to plate.

I didn't realize that this short story was linked to the characters in McKenna's book Blackmailed. It tells the story of Brianna's blind brother, Scott. A cute romance with a stalker subplot.
